Introduction
With the proliferation of networking technologies and electronic in-car devices, there is a fast-growing interest in intelligent transportation. In the days to come, we expect that mobile transportation services will become ubiquitous along with the emergence of pervasive and cloud computing technologies. Service ubiquity accounts for a major part of the transportation industry today. The public and transport authorities increasingly like to use mobile services to address all their needs on alleviating traffic congestion, reducing energy consumption, comforting personal mobility and so on. Ubiquitous mobile service is a new science that aims to study and better understand the foundations of this highly popular industry. It currently shapes the science and technology of modeling, creating, operating and managing transportation mobile services.
USIT-20 will help in bridging the gap between transportation services and information technology by driving research in technologies such as service delivery in traffic environment, semantic service discovery, and composition, transportation service security, service recommendation for driving and mobility.
Topics
The 2020 International Workshop on Ubiquitous mobile service for intelligent transportation (USIT-20) aims at providing a forum for researchers and practitioners to discuss and share their research and development experiences. All topics relevant to transportation services are of interest. USIT-20 will organize the refereed paper in the following research areas, but not limited to:
- Service computing for intelligent transportation
- Dependable and secure services in advanced transportation systems
- Data-driven machine learning and deep learning approaches for transportation services
- Optimization of operations and planning of demand-responsive/on-demand transportation services
- Application of ubiquitous sensing and computing from multi-modal data (e.g., image, video, point cloud, trajectory, etc) in transportation research
- Emerging technologies and algorithms for assisted driving and autonomous driving
Paper Submission
All manuscripts should be formatted in the Springer Computer Science Proceedings Format and submitted in the Portable Document Format (.pdf). All submitted papers will be judged through single-blind reviewing. Please include author names and affiliations along with the title. Accepted papers are required to present at the workshop. All papers should be submitted via the link at EasyChair platform: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=usit20.
Paper Publication
All papers accepted will be indexed by EI Compendex. Selected high-quality papers will be included in special issues on mainstream scientific journals (e.g. Personal and Ubiquitous Computing (SCI), CCF Trans. Pervasive Computing and Interaction).
